- 댐(Dam)은 하천의 흐름을 차단하거나 흐름의 방향을 바꾸고 늦추는 등의 역할을 하도록 강을 가로질러 세워지는 구조물을 말한다. 이러한 구조물로 인하여 인공적인 호수나 유수지가 만들어진다.
