뜻하나님 위하느님

하느님은 한국어에서 절대적인 존재(God)를 가리키는 말이다. 기독교에서 성서를 한국어로 번역하는 과정에서 그들의 신앙의 대상 또한 하느님으로 번역하기로 결정함에 따라, 한국 기독교계에서도 사용하게 되었다.
인류가 탄생되면서 인간의 능력으로 다스릴 수도 이해할 수도 없는 일에, 어떤 초월 존재가 개입되어 있다는 의식이 싹트기 시작하였고, 이를 두려워하고 숭상하게 되었다.
초월 존재를 부르는 단어에는 크게 2가지로 분류할 수 있는데, 대표적인 호칭이 “하느님”과 “신(神)”이라 할 수 있다.
사람의 의식에 자리잡고 있는 것이 실제로 유일신인지 범신인지 뚜렷하게 구별하기는 쉽지 않다.
